We cooked up a Scatterbrain with Pühaste Brewery the last time we made our way out to Europe. This double IPA is dry hopped with SubZero Motueka Hop Kief, Motueka, Nelson and Rakau. What's Hop Kief? This liquid product from Freestyle Hops in New Zealand separates the hop flavors from the solid materials through a cryogenic process, hence SubZero in the name. Added late in the brewing process, but designed to keep the full spectrum of hop flavor, the Motueka variety imparts a huge flavor boost of "mojito lime" to create a bold but well-rounded sipper.
